A major jobs boost is on the way for people in Meath as CPAC Modular has broken ground on a new €16m manufacturing facility in Dunshaughlin — a development that will create 100 new jobs over the next five years and offer long-term career opportunities in construction, engineering, and project management for people living in the region.

The event was marked by a sod-turning ceremony led by Taoiseach Micheál Martin, who welcomed the investment as a major boost for Meath’s regional economy and Ireland’s construction sector.

Located on a 22-acre greenfield site, the new facility is expected to triple CPAC’s construction capacity, enabling the delivery of permanent modular solutions across education, healthcare, residential, and commercial sectors. The project is scheduled for completion by summer 2026.

Speaking ahead of the event yesterday, Mr Martin said: “I am delighted to turn the sod on this modern manufacturing facility for CPAC Modular in Dunshaughlin. This significant investment of €16m will provide a substantial boost to the wider Meath area with the creation of new jobs in a wide range of areas in engineering and manufacturing. I look forward to seeing the completion of this wonderful facility next year.”

The development will create 100 new jobs over a 5-year period, spanning roles in engineering, project management, construction, administration, technical support and more.

Seán Murphy, Managing Director of CPAC Modular, said: “This €16m state-of-the-art facility marks a transformative step for CPAC Modular, strengthening our position as Ireland’s leading modular main contractor. With enhanced capacity and cutting-edge technology, we are committed to leading the modular construction sectors, driving innovation, creating jobs, and delivering high-quality modular solutions that address Ireland’s growing infrastructure needs across industry, education and large-scale residential.”

Meanwhile Mark Whitehead, Director of Construction for CPAC Modular, added: “With a threefold increase in capacity, we are poised to deliver high-quality, sustainable infrastructure at scale and with accelerated project timelines. The new HQ will meet the growing demands of modern construction with efficiency and excellence.”

Kevin Sherry, Interim CEO of Enterprise Ireland, also welcomed the project and said: “CPAC Modular has emerged as a true leader in the area of offsite modular construction and this announcement by the company today is a major milestone in their journey. Enterprise Ireland is proud to work with CPAC Modular, including through our Built to Innovate programme, which aims to bring greater efficiencies to the sector and increased productivity.”
